Dallas-Fort Worth is the perfect area for anyone looking for a fun weekend away from home. With plenty to do, here are three great spots to visit during a weekend getaway to DFW.

Sundance Square

With an intriguing history and plenty of shops and restaurants lining the streets, Sundance Square is the heart of Downtown Fort Worth. Even the kids will enjoy walking through the square with you, as the fountains and jets provide their own form of entertainment. Be sure to check out the events calendar, as Sundance Square hosts plenty of activities and gatherings throughout the year.

Fort Worth Water Gardens

The Fort Worth Water Gardens is a truly unique experience. Located on 4.3 acres of land in the middle of downtown, there are three beautiful pools for you to see and enjoy — a meditation pool surrounded by cypress trees, an active pool, and an aerating pool with illuminated spray fountains. The active pool is particularly popular with visitors because it features water cascading down 38 feet of terraces and steps and landing in a small, central pool at the bottom.

Kimbell Art Museum

The Kimbell Art Museum is known internationally for its extensive collections and impressive architecture. This museum features century-specific art pieces, including those from renowned artists like Michelangelo, Guercino, and Picasso. The buildings on the premises also have unique characteristics that will impress any visitor, such as three glass-walled courtyards that let in natural light.

With so many places to explore, it’s easy to love any time spent in Dallas-Fort Worth. Make sure to stop by all three locations next time you’re in the area for a visit.
