Volkswagen’s 2019 Jetta and 2019 Jetta GLI are fantastic vehicles in their own right. They share similar feature sets and cater to those with varying budgets and needs. There are a couple of differences between the two models, however, that are worth noting before you buy either of them.

  1. Design

Both the 2019 Jetta and Jetta GLI have fantastic designs, and they share similar characteristics that make them both true stunners on the road. Each vehicle comes with a compact sedan form factor that’s available in metallic finishes. Inside, you’ll find premium materials and plenty of cargo space. However, the Jetta GLI also comes with a few available touches like premium stitching and extra dimension to the outer sculpting. Regardless, if you purchase either car, you’ll be pleased with their designs.

  1. Power

Under the hood, the 2019 Jetta comes with a 1.4-liter turbocharged I-4 engine with 147 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the 2019 Jetta GLI comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 with 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Respectively, you also get either an eight-speed automatic or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. For those who need a bit of extra power, the GLI is the model to go with. For everyone else, the standard Jetta should suffice.

With this information in mind, you’ll be better equipped to confidently buy the 2019 Jetta that will fit your lifestyle the best. For more information on either vehicle and to schedule a test drive, be sure to visit Archer Volkswagen.
